PSD supports the proposed solidarity tax, the ultimate goal of which is to reduce the burden of taxation for low- and medium-income people and families and to support the education system. This investment in our schools is an investment in the future of Romania.
In this economically challenging period, large companies that should pay their fair share to support increased incomes of the employees who contribute the most to the development of Romania. This is the principle of solidarity, which should be promoted by all political parties in order to retain a productive workforce in Romania.
PSD stands with our workforce, who contribute to economic growth, and who have been hit hardest by increasing prices caused by global inflation. The vast majority of companies in Romania already pay at least an equivalent tax with 1% of their income, without having higher prices than the others. It’s time to make this contribution the norm.
