Sorin Grindeanu, ad interim president of the Social Democratic Party of Romania (PSD), stated on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, that issues related to the economic reality were discussed during the informal meeting with President Nicușor Dan.

“As you know, I met with President Nicușor Dan. It was a meeting that I would describe, if you will, as he said, as more informal. I wanted to express our views and, first and foremost, the issues related to the PSD’s position, which remains unchanged. The PSD is a responsible party that understands how to come up with solutions for Romanians and does not shy away from responsibility. There was a lot of discussion on the economic side, regarding issues related to the current reality in this economic area. Deputy Prime Minister Marian Neacșu presented the economic data as reported by the Ministry of Finance and the National Institute of Statistics. That was our main concern today – solutions – both ours and those of President Nicușor Dan, solutions and nothing else. I would also like to commend President Nicușor Dan for his openness and willingness to engage in this dialogue” stated Sorin Grindeanu at a press conference at the PSD headquarters after the consultations at the Cotroceni Palace.
