On Tuesday, June 28, 2022, PSD President Marcel Ciolacu, the president of the Chamber of Deputies, appealed to his colleagues in the governing coalition to understand that Romania must have a modern and European fiscal framework.

“I make a final appeal to my colleagues in the Coalition, before tomorrow’s meeting, to understand the need for Romania to have a modern and European fiscal framework. We cannot continue with an outdated and unjust system that produces economic imbalances and social inequity. It is nonsense to expect a general progress for Romanians with a regressive system, in which those who earn more pay less in percentage!”
