Strengthening the economic pilar of the US-RO Strategic Partnership

Romania wants the strategic partnership with the United States of America to be strengthened by appropriate economic cooperation, and the US to become Romania’s main economic partner in the non-Euro area, Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu said during the meeting. “We are focused on strengthening the economic pilar of the US-RO Strategic Partnership, especially in fields where the US currently has one of the most advanced systems”, said Marcel Ciolacu.

The Romanian Prime Minister held talks on March 20th 2024, the American-Romanian Business Council (AMRO) delegation led by Eric Stewart in the eleventh economic mission organized by AMRO in Romania. The meeting was attended by HE Kathleen Kavalec, the US ambassador to Romania, and the leaders of 16 American companies interested in developing their activities in Romania in areas such as IT&C, energy, infrastructure, defense industry, banking, health.
